ZOHO PACKAGING · LABORATORY PACKAGING

Collection kits often combine tubes, individually packed accessories, labels and instructions. A fitted insert can organise these components, reduce movement and make it easier to check that a kit is complete. The design should support the container without putting unnecessary pressure on its cap.
ZOHO Packaging develops paper-based carton and insert concepts around your tube specification. We first separate the brief for unused empty kits from the brief for returning collected specimens. Buyers in Australia, the US and Canada can request an assessment based on their products, quantities and intended distribution route.
Discuss a sample tube box and insertDefine what the kit will contain
A tube's appearance or a research-use description does not determine its transport classification. Qualified personnel should assess the contents and applicable rules. The illustrations on this page show an empty-kit design concept, not a validated specimen shipping system.
| Application | Paper packaging role | Separate requirement |
|---|
| Unused empty collection kit | Locate tubes, accessories and instructions | Protect original sealed packs |
| Closed research containers | Support the specified container arrangement | Confirm contents and transport classification |
| Collected biological specimens | Consider the outer system configuration | Establish applicable transport requirements |
Locate the tube and support its base
A die-cut hole can limit sideways movement, but the hole edge should not automatically carry the full load. Send the tube diameter, cap diameter, total height, base shape and intended packed weight. Conical, rounded and flat bases may need different support arrangements even when the stated volume is identical.
Long tubes may benefit from two-level positioning or individual cells. Horizontal formats can also be assessed, provided caps and fragile parts remain protected. Clearances should be confirmed with the intended board and physical product samples.
Tube and base support · Concept layout; final structure requires sampling.Give accessories a defined location
A separate compartment can hold factory-sealed accessories, label packs and instructions. Measure these items in their original packaging so the insert does not force a seal to fold or press against a sharp paper edge.
Location numbers can support packing checks and a component list. The product owner remains responsible for the sampling instructions, identification system and approved wording. Carton artwork should reflect the approved process.
Separate accessories · Concept layout; final structure requires sampling.A paper insert is not a specimen containment system
For air shipments classified as UN3373, IATA Packing Instruction 650 addresses a primary receptacle, secondary packaging and a rigid outer package, with additional provisions for liquids. A locating insert does not replace that system, and printing a mark does not establish compliance.
Before discussing a return pack, supply the classification, transport mode, container information and carrier requirements. Temperature-controlled shipments need their own system specification. No compliance or transport validation is claimed for the concept images on this page.
Keep outgoing kits and return systems identifiable
If your programme supplies both unused collection materials and a return pack, confirm their component lists, assembly instructions and identification separately. Similar-looking cartons should not lead packing staff to select the wrong configuration.
Prototype work can begin with empty tubes or dimensionally representative models. Any required performance assessment must then use the intended shipment configuration. Changes to tube type, load, closure or insert material may change the suitability of an earlier design.
Check kit configuration · Concept layout; final structure requires sampling.Compare assembly effort as well as material cost
Hole count, crease layout, manual assembly and sheet utilisation affect price. A single-piece insert may use fewer parts yet take longer to fold. Compare one-piece, multi-piece and partition options with a practical packing trial.
For multiple tube counts, a common carton with alternative inserts may be worth considering. Check wasted space and freight volume before standardising. Establish your most frequently used format first, then assess additional versions.
Send a complete request for quotation
Please state whether you need empty packaging delivered overseas or supplied to an assembly partner in Taiwan. Sampling, tooling, production, freight scope and lead time can then be quoted against the same brief.

Frequently asked questions
1. Do empty tubes need an insert?
An insert can be assessed where movement, impact or component organisation is a concern. It is not automatically required for every pack.
2. Can tubes of the same capacity share a hole size?
Not necessarily. Outside dimensions, caps and base profiles can differ between suppliers.
3. Can you assess six-tube or twelve-tube layouts?
Yes. Share the intended tube count and specification so the layout and material use can be evaluated.
4. Should the cap carry the tube's weight?
Do not assume it should. The support method must suit the container without compromising its closure.
5. Can sealed accessories sit beside the tubes?
A separate compartment can be designed around their packaged dimensions while preserving seal integrity.
6. Is a paper insert leakproof?
An ordinary locating insert is not a leakproof container. Containment requirements need separate components and assessment.
7. Does a UN3373 mark make a carton compliant?
No. Classification and the complete applicable packaging requirements must be addressed.
8. Can the carton be used with dry ice?
That requires assessment as part of the intended low-temperature shipping system and refrigerant requirements.
9. Can label areas support several languages?
Yes. Provide approved wording and version requirements so the layout can be checked before printing.
10. How can an overseas buyer start?
Send photographs, dimensions, kit contents, quantity and destination through the official LINE account. English enquiries are welcome.
